The folk in the room next door came back late for the second night running and watched tv till 12.40 a.m. Not really their fault I'm in a noisy room for once but consideration? I almost retaliated with R4 on loud at 7.30.
Only one meeting today and then the 2 p.m. home. I'd forgotten that the 14.00 is the Aberdeen train, a long 7+hours north and diesel as there a'int any electricity after Edinburgh. And diesel means no motor under each carriage (thanks to #3 son for the technical detail here) and that means heavier carriages and many more shoogles. Very, very shoogly, throwing around shoogly. And next Wednesday I'm on the same train.
Meanwhile back at the ranch the fire alarm kept going off. Not much I can do about it in the quiet coach. Plumbed in to the main alarm it means I get, or don't get, phone calls.
Got back in time to see the Royal Mile cordoned off because of the siege, all over by the 10.30 p.m. headlines, have food in 'The Southsider' and then go to sing.
Waiting for me at home were two billet douxs - PC from Vietnam from#1 son and daughter in law (her writing) and 'thank you' card from #1 girlfriend. Sometimes the little things cheer you up and make your day.
The gherkin from #66, the 3rd floor Performing Arts Room.
(PS, it's still freezing, both down south and up north. Are we getting a summer this year?)
