Open Door Day for the school Max go to after the summer. Max was whisked off straight away. We also got a tour. The school specialises in metal work and features the largest training forge in Europe. Well, Max signed up straight away. A big green tick on our todo list. Max and I visited the Technical Museum and spent a long time checking out the boats. Today's blip shows the mechanism that controlled a lock. The brass bits on the rotating cylinder move little mercury switches. The mechanism was working and it was lovely seeing the shiny mercury move inside the glass vials.
