Eyeful Tower

I got an eyeful of the bittern from the top of the viewing tower at the Lee Valley Park Wildlife Discovery Centre. I've photographed bitterns quite a few times in the past from the old, now demolished, Bittern Hide. I like the novelty of shooting the big bird from a different aspect. I watched as it caught a few fish, possibly chub, and just before I left it looked up and was watching me. :) (Extras)

PS Just remembered that chub live in moving water not lakes. Wonder what the little fish with red fins the bittern was catching are?
