robin's flying...

...to get some sustenance

and i caught her in flight!!!!!

i cannot begin to tell you - what a happy skippy dance moment this is for me - i have been wanting - aching almost - to get a small bird in flight - for quite some time - much to my chagrin - they are so almost impossibly difficult to capture - unless of course - you have the big guns in equipment... the stuff that will assist you in stopping motion and all the rest - which i don't have - and i'm certain if i was educated enough about my very own camera - well, perhaps i'd have the knowledge at my fingertips - to have achieved this moment long ago - who knows... the fact of the matter is - it hasn't happened - until now, people... and i didn't realize it until -

let's all say it together now: "on the upload!" i knew, obviously, that i'd attempted it - but had no idea it had actually turned out half way decent - not caring it's a bit of a blur, because she's flying for goodness sake...

so this is one of those very simple moments in life - when i am rejoicing - i'm grateful: for nature - for a rather pleasant day - for opportunities that present themselves right in front of me - for not being afraid to go after them - for not being afraid to fail - most of all for believing in myself - that i have the capability to pull it off - we all do, if we have a little faith - and that my friends, is the perfect recipe for...
