What to do on a very wet day in Northland?

Go for a walk in the Kauri forest!!! There was a lot of surface water lying around and we got very wet.
We also called into the Waimate mission house and the Holy Trinity church with its lovely stained glass window and decorated pipe organ.
Tonight we had dinner in a Thai restaurant where a robot brought our meal to the table.
The weather has improved.
