Swan

Today we had a trip out to Nostell Priory near Wakefield, a National Trust property.

After coffee in the stables cafe, above which is a magnificent clock tower, we went for a walk around the estate.

We stopped at the lake to look at the ducks and swans..I liked the light catching this one that came quite close.

We then wandered up to the magnificent Obelisk Lodge, which at one time was the main entrance to the house. The gate keepers and families lived in rooms at the sides of, and above, the arch.
