Visiting Liz at Sew & Sew Haberdashery
When I recently went to visit Liz at their house in Whiteshill I showed her my picture of two tawny owls in their nest. She loved it and immediately asked if she could have a print of it to give to her three year old grandson for his birthday present in February.
I printed it up yesterday while I was replacing my stock of cards and then drove into town for a meeting at the town council offices. Once that was finished I walked to the shop close to the bottom of the High Street to deliver the print. Liz is an extremely talented textile artist specialising in embroidery. Do look at her website and her journal quilting, much like a blip.
Liz works for one day a week at Sew and Sew in Lansdown, Stroud, a long established local haberdashery. I stayed chatting to her for some time and noticed the lovely colour palette of the ribbons behind her. I asked if I could blip the scene, which of course she agreed to.
