Glimpse
For a moment I thought we might see some sunshine at last, but the blue disappeared quickly behind the usual grey.
Yesterday’s snow had disappeared by morning. After work, B and I went for a walk, ignoring the drizzle.
It’s Holocaust Remembrance Day, and I thought about my father a lot. He suffered from trauma all his life, after most of his family were murdered in Nazi concentration camps - his father, aunts, uncles and cousins. The youngest was barely 10, the oldest grand-uncle over 70 when they were killed. I will never understand how human beings can do something like this.
