A novel picked up in charity shop. A journey by a couple from Syria to UK involving terrifying boat journeys, horrific memories, as well as good, losses and new relationships. Written by someone who brought together experiences gained by volunteering in a refugee camp. Sounds depressing, and there are difficult things to read but shows resilience of people and children
