Global Village

We arrived in Portland Thursday afternoon and that evening we went to see the “Global Village “ event at Z and Ms elementary school. Kids who chose to participate put together displays to share some of their family’s heritage. Z and M chose Switzerland showing some things representing their heritage on theirs maternal grandfathers family side . Some other countries represented we saw were Somalia , Iraq, the Nex Pierce Nation , Iran and Scotland . It was a wonderfully diverse display and lots of fun. The kids had littler “passports” to fill out at each “station” answering questions from these peoples . A very fun way to learn !
