I don't know why Mayor Dave has lit the bridges purple, but these views welcomed me home from work this evening. I don't think it's a Holocaust Memorial thing, though it could be. Another bridge is lit from the opposite bank, and I've seen that once before, but maybe that was just a rehearsal. 
Resident swans appear to remain unflappable.
