Texas State Bank, Alice

The old Texas State Bank building in Alice, Texas. This bank was involved with improprieties concerning George Parr of neighboring Duval County - the infamous "Duke of Duval," George Pharr. Pharr was yet another crooked politician in Texas, and reportedly stuffed a suddently found, formerly missing ballot box that put Lyndon B. Johnson into the senate. His story can be found
