Triffid

Courgette/Zucchini flowers look like colourful triffids when they’re closed.

Terrible weather up in Auckland. Flooding like it never has before. Sadly three people have died, and one is still missing. I spent the morning on the phone to my family and friends, who are thankfully all ok.

And then this evening news that a Cook Straight ferry ship ( going between North and South Island’s), has lost power with hundreds of passengers on board. Pictures through of passengers with life jackets on etc. Tug boats are trying to push the ferry towards land. I hope it gets there safely.

Not a great weekend so far.
