An excess..

of vegetables to be made into pickle tomorrow.  Definitely not an outside day. I spent much of the day talking to friends and family in Auckland where I grew up and spent most of my life.  Some flooded basements and garages but all just thankful it wasn't worse.   It's really hard to reconcile  the images on TV to the  areas I know so well and which I could never imagine flooding.  My heart goes out to all those who have lost eveything.
