alone...

a few weeks ago i saw a dead swan  ( maybe bird flu)   floating in the canal behind it...

i think now , this is the other one...

Swans are large, long-lived birds, but they will die sooner or later. The partner left behind is then really upset and it often takes until the next breeding season before he or she looks for a new partner.
