just a light dusting

Well the worst of the snowstorm seems to have passed. We’ve gotten about 18 inches total, but it’s been so windy that the snow drifts on the sides of my house are about 3 feet high. Now comes the extreme cold. It’s currently -2°F and projected to drop to -20°F overnight and stay that way for about a day.
Today I am grateful for a well built home to keep the snow out, a roaring fire to keep the chill away, and a lovely husband and pets to keep the boredom from swallowing me up whole.
