Spent some time in the morning sorting out options for when T&Kt will be here in a couple of weeks…so hard to decide though, since who knows what the weather will be, what things will be booked up if I leave it any longer, and what we’ll feel like doing on each day….grr I hate these sorts of decisions!
Chatted on the phone to K, about her coming up here and what we’re cooking for supper etc
It was a beautiful sunny day so I decided to walk over to Morningside for a change and had a look in a few shops on the way there and back. Along the paths across Bruntsfield links there was a lot of new tree planting going on…so good to see.
Spent a while in the bike shop looking at e-bikes. I’m keen, but just worried about how easy it will be to get it up and down the stairs to my store cupboard…..don’t trust the street bike storage. They didn’t have my size in store so will need to order it in for me to try…decided to think about it a bit.
Home and did some Italian (I’m in the finals….but after this week will definitely not go so hell for leather again…it’s way too much!)
A called to suggest we meet up at the Fort so we did…even though there were no scones left in the cafe! We chatted on about her week at work and the last things she’s getting for the house and the state of A&E in Edinburgh at the moment.
Home and did some admin and yet more Italian, then made a ratatouille and orzo supper.
Watched The Wonder, an intense film about 19th century Ireland and a child apparently surviving without eating. Rather good, although very dark.
