After the storm

We went for a damp walk in the park this morning and the evidence of the storm was all around. Several of these large heavy picnic benches had been swept from their concrete bases over fifty to two hundred yards into all sorts places including in the bush and blocking a footbridge.There were trees down and all sorts of debris everywhere.
Yesterday the ground floor of Auckland airport was a foot under water so all flights in and out were cancelled. It’s now open so we’re hoping to get on our flight tomorrow morning.
