Saturday: Orchids…….Apparently

The orchid tree in our garden has started flowering and the smell is just wonderful.  I have to admit that I thought orchids looked quite particular and it wasn’t like this……..

We caught up with my auntie and uncle in the UK this morning.  It was lovely as it’s been a while.  The rest of the day was spent catching up with a few things and an afternoon swim.

We went to Corker’s tonight.  We were just finishing up when the server, Lucy, came and told us that someone wanted to buy us a drink.  It turned out to be a young lesbian, visiting from down south, who thought we might be likeminded on account of our short hair.  We had a pleasant time chatting to her and her friends and learning more about the (very limited) LGBTQ scene here.  It was sweet that she took the initiative to connect.
