Taking Flight

A walk along the river through the bosque.  Saddened today...too many mountain bikers are leaving the designated trails and making their own hard packed trails all over the bosque, which is actually just a narrow strip of land (less than a quarter mile wide) along both sides of the river.  The bikers are destroying the fragile ecosystem of the riparian forest by creating fewer and smaller wild spaces for the beaver, coyote, porcupine, raccoon, etc., to inhabit, to roam.
