Today I had a art class for the first time in years! Helping out at the Junior High, I usually sit in on chemistry classes (haha) on Thursdays, but they have changed the timetable in a moment of divine benevolence. The art teacher is great fun, and expects us to muck in too. So, on arrival, we were handed a large sheet of paper, and instructed to draw/paint/crayon "our way to school". The paper looked very empty. "No pressure!" he said. I felt pressured.
But two hours later, covered in acrylic, I found I was having a great time, and even stayed an hour longer than I intended (end-of-unit review test revision before class went out the window - and I didn't even mind. YOLO( that's for you, TeaLuke) ). Sadly can't show you the finished art work on blip today, as it isn't finished yet, and is still in school. Hopefully I'll get it on here one of these days...
In the meantime, I'll leave you with the surprisingly flattering comment by the art teacher that my painting looked like a guy's work he knew who studied under Salvador Dali - and if that doesn't whet your appetite, I don't know what will.
Here is a photo of the way to school, too. Love all of the wires!
