Sunflower Time
Its that time of the year, and around our district of Salisbury there are many paddocks of sunflowers. All belonging to the same farmer.
I took these from the road side, not far from where we live. Some of his paddock are along State Highway 1, always a problem with people wanting to photograph them. He has put up signs on the gates "Unauthorised people must not enter" - I'm not so sure that will stop them, but aside from that parked cars on a busy main road is a concern.
I've spoken to him (he is a friend), who said he would take me and my friends into one of his paddocks where passer bys can't see us. I'm just to give him a ring. This packs more of a punch against black.
Because I've been using my extras far too quickly, I've opted to put my others in Flickr if you should like to view.
My grateful thanks also to you all that loved my flay lay yesterday.
The stories and images coming out of Auckland, and Tauranga are horrendous, four deaths, many homes red stickered. Just terrible, so sad for so many….farmers as well, the rainfalls aren’t just restricted to Auckland city.
Sevens and tennis tonight
