Mad Hatter’s Tea Party
This morning I joined the woodland walk at Victoria Park with a few other volunteers to see what we could see in the way of birds for the RSPB birdwatch count. Some nice sightings of Goldcrests, Nuthatches, Wren, Song Thrush and most of the tit family and some others. A good variety was seen during our hour.
I then left them to it as hubby and I met up with the rest of the family to celebrate my niece’s 22nd birthday. We went to Rio Brazilian steakhouse in Warrington town centre in the Old Fish Market square. It was amazing. As much meat and salads as you wanted with chips, sausages and other sides. We all ate way too much but the food was fantastic.
Outside in the square is the stone sculpture of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party which has been there for many years. Lewis Carroll, who wrote Alice in Wonderland was born in Daresbury just outside Warrington and has long been a favourite son.
