At last.....

Today I finished my induction training and received my National Trust volunteer pass. Some of you may remember that last year I applied to 2 other places after we got more freedom from Covid. Neither offered me what I wanted.

After these false starts I am going to be a National Trust House Volunteer. I will be working at Wimpole Hall, near Royston, Herts. Very like my work in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology before Covid, I will help visitors, explain and engage them in the life of the house. Over time I will work in most of the splendid rooms and below stairs. The drive is about 25 mins from home. I wont start until The Railway Children is finished.
