Noisy miner

This little Aussie native was perched low down on the branch of a shrub in Sydney Park, probably looking for something to eat. I have blipped photos of this species before, but usually I am looking up at them. This one is posing like I like to be photographed, a little from above. We want eyes not chins.

I'm glad I got this shot when I did. It's been boiling hot here for the last few days and by 5pm, when I was at the shops, the promised deluge came through. Even though I had a brolly I got soaked, but at least the rain cooled our world down.
