Let Joy Be Unconfined!
The process of submitting the various forms to HM Revenue and Customs was completed first thing morning. Hence the title of today’s entry.
Today is a fine weather day and after breakfast we decided to drive to NO 2595 1634. This is the Ordnance Survey Map Reference for Abdie Old Kirk near the village of Lindores.
The Lindores Stone is a Class 1 Stone from the 7th Century. It is shown in today’s entry. The arrow and line is a level mark placed by the Ordnance Survey, before the stone was moved to Abdie Old Kirk.
In one of the extras shows a stone effigy of a cleric from Lindores Abbey.
The other extras give a flavour of the remains of Abdie Old Kirk which dates from the 13th century. I had taken 30 photographs of this Kirk and the precinct.
Although the weather was sunny and the temperature was a balmy 10C a biting wind made it feel much colder.
Upon our return I cracked open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the Joy which has been unconfined.
Confession time. I had no idea that Abdie Old Kirk existed until a couple of days ago. It cannot be seen from the surrounding roads and it is not signposted.
