At last!!!!

It isn't the best photo, but it's the first time I've managed to snap a Kingfisher so I'm a happy bunny!!

To escape the decorator again today, we headed to Shoebury in the cold sunshine. We'd not been there for a while so it was nice to be back, and even nicer to find out a new cafe has been opened there!! Of course we had to sample the tea and toasted teacakes on offer and top marks!!

And then on the walk back I spotted some photographers at the end of one of the  narrow stretches of water and saw some movement so knew it was the kingfisher!! So now we need to go back and get a closer photo another day haha!! Also had some lovely Kestrel action overhead too so a good day for walking and birding!!

Decorator has now done all the 'white' paint in the hallway, so time for colour on the walls tomorrow! Hoping we've made the right choice!! Looking back at old photos, anything will be better than the orange/brown wallpaper that was up during the 70's!! Matching carpet too!!
