Dry Stane Dyke

Lakeland garden wall. The sploodges of white and grey are lichens (yet to be identified - work for when I get home, perhaps). Probably Ochrolechia, various types.

Also a bit vague about the rocks: clearly 'beckstones', rounded, out of the local becks (streams), together with flat slaty mudstones. Presumably Silurian - my geological knowledge has faded dramatically from the time I rejoiced in knowing what sort of rock I was climbing on...

The three garden plants are also unidentified by me. Does one have to know what it is to enjoy it? Or is identification merely a bonus?
