Rozi Plain
Porridge on the camping stove. Some pottering about the house. Salad for lunch.
Kerry heads for Galashiels for an opticians appointment. I’m busy with meetings, ordering things online, and general fretting.
And then it’s time to head back to Glasgow with Nick. This time to the Drygate for a Rozi Plain gig, stopping to pick up an immense fish supper at the chippy in Carluke.
Rozi herself is on the merch stall as we arrive. Somehow, on day 2 of their tour, she has no CDs of her new album, which shows some room for improvement from her record label :). Also, there’s no sign of a reprint of the iconic Rozi Plain logo T-shirt, but she says she’ll get some printed soon.
The gig is excellent! There are plenty of people in the hall, but it’s not crowded and no shining is required to get to the front. There are lots of songs from the new album, and a good dose of old favourites too. It’s great to watch the band dynamics, up close.
Then, to Argyll Street to collect Debbie, who will be providing academic rigour for the public meeting tomorrow.
