High Cloud

While out walking last week I chatted with a man who mentioned that the boardwalks across the bogs on Thursley Common, which were lost to fire in the summer 2020, had now been replaced, so today I took a look.  

The walks are indeed open (extra), and it was a pleasure to be able see the views across the the ponds and bogs up close again, though I was surprised at how little, make the no, birdlife was to be heard or seen.  I can't wait for Spring/Summer now for the opportunity to see the renown  dragonflies (and hopefully some birds, like the hobbies for which the area is also known).
