Logging

A very old but prolifically fruiting cooking apple tree was uprooted by the wind a couple of weeks ago. I've been making slow progress with  clearing it away but friend G helped today so quite a lot more got done.

  It had a rope swing hanging from one of its boughs and provided winter food for fieldfares and blackbirds, so I'm sad to see its demise.
