Normal service resumed

Another full day of the boiler team ensuring the system was up and running. The house was so cold with doors opening and closing. A previous installation of the bathroom radiator had not been properly installed which led to extra work. The radiators were flushed out of accumulated detritus. An inhibitor and cleaner added to the system. A special magnetic cleaner installed in addition to new radiator valves. They even brought Henry the hoover to clean up afterwards. Amazing how much hotter the radiators are. Just some holes and minor redecoration to do. Just now need to get familiar with the new controls.

Looking forward to a warmer house and much more efficient boiler.

Grabbed this photo just after lunch. Rosamund’s Tower at the castle was looking good. The building in the foreground is an education centre for school groups.
