Levada do Curral

We let the day unfold naturally and ended up doing some Levada walking, starting out on the Levada dos Piornais (another section of which I ran a few days ago) and then taking the Levada do Curral into the mountains. Sadly, it's fallen into disrepair and it's no longer possible to follow it all the way, not without very serious risk to life and limb, that is. The railings disappeared after a while and we stopped and turned around when the drop-offs got too hairy. There are sections that are literally carved into the side of the mountain. This was taken just before it entered a short tunnel.
