Salvo Smoke

Mourão is in festa - the annual celebration for Our Lady of Light, the patron saint - by far, the biggest event of the year. Today, beginning at 8am, we've had regular mortar salvos, silent evidence (the evidence is silent, not the salvos, which make the earth reverberate) in the sky, seen from our door. The castle is beautifully lit up, but will hopefully get that tomorrow. 

Gratefuls:
- prayer walking into town together today
- having lunch at Mourão's new tapas bar, a really lovely place right on the main square
- chatting with Ana, and her niece

Oh, and thanks for all your comments, stars, hearts for the peaceful pastels yesterday, sorry I don't respond much, but would rather spend the time commenting on yours...
