Burnin' Cane

Once the sugar cane plants reach maturity and have begun to dry out the farmers set them on fire.  
     Once the fields are burned harvest begins.

    The woody cane is much easier to crush for it's sweet juice and none of the insects or small animals need to be dealt with.
