Don't Mess!

A couple of weeks ago I had cause to visit one of our local hotels. As I was leaving I noticed a swan on a nest, adjacent to a small pool in the grounds. It was my first opportunity to return today as I had a visit in Stafford.

There she was still, resolutely sitting on those eggs waiting for them to hatch. Her partner was out on the water, patrolling and protecting. I pointed the camera at him and he started making a 'B' line for me. I cenrtainly didn't want to disturb the partner on the nest so withdrew quickly.

Now then, who to get to tell me when the cygnets hatch.
