Staying in the shade

It's been a hot and humid day in Lennox Head. A maximum temperature of  31 degrees C doesn't sound that hot, but combine it with 75% relative humidity and it becomes very trying. I drove to the village for essential business, rather than walking. It was very quiet, and the few people around were mainly in patches of shade. Or in the ocean. By contrast, 1,000 km south, it's been snowing in the high country!
