Winter Abstract

I remember when I was in art school, my photography teacher gave us an assignment to "photograph something you would normally overlook".  I photographed rusted storm drains.  I thought about that when I did this image.  Can you tell what it is?  Answer tomorrow.  It sort of sums up what today and tomorrow will be like here.  Unbelievably cold.  A high of 12F today and tomorrow it won't get out of the single digits.  Wind chills in places will be -30F.  Still, hardy Mainers that we are, my cousins and I are going to Portland today to see a wonderful exhibit on loan from the American Museum of Folk Art in NYC.  Bundle up will be the phrase of the day!
