Good day’s work

Woken up this morning by Travis Perkins delivering the battens so as the temperature was favourable and the sun was shining we set to work on the fruit cage.
The gov pruned the raspberry canes and dug out the suckers that were growing in the wrong places. She put these on FB at lunchtime and they had gone by 2.30! She carried on to weed the whole area and even relocated a little frog!
I made up the roof trusses and the ridge beam so our fruit cage can have a sloping roof, hopefully to dissuade leaves from resting on it and rotting the net.
The gov did some net repairs and just before tea I put the rigging on the weather station pole to prevent it shaking in the wind and giving false rainfall readings.
As you can see if you look carefully - a man can never have too many Makitas.
