Thirlmere

Will it or won't it rain?  I don't know as I was on my way home using the road around the western side of the lake, until you get to a barricade saying 'Road Closed.'  Next to the barrier was a carpark promising walks along the shoreline and this is the photo I took showing Dunmail Raise between the Fells leading to Grasmere.  Here you have reeds and a variety of trees.  I believe this western road is blocked because of tree felling.
The main road on the eastern side is the A591, which was closed after the road collapsed.  One of the consequences of Storm Desmond.  Anyway I got my photos.
