Work has featured in most of my blips this week and today is no exception.
A few weeks before Christmas we had a young patient who came in to be given an awful diagnosis, his treatment quickly escalated and he left us to go under the care of the more specialist teams at the local tertiary Children’s hospital.
Some work I was doing meant that I had to check up on his progress, so learnt that until a week or so ago he was still an inpatient but he was getting ready for discharge, (though I suspect he has a long journey ahead of him).
Today he returned to us with his parents with a lovely card, gift hamper and lots of scrumptious biscuits- was lovely for those staff who had cared for him to see him so well today
