Within a day of a new chunk of mudguard being fitted it will have cracked, though in doing so it will at least reveal why they're all cracking. Not that I will adjust it, or replace the patch, instead reasoning that a cable tie will hold it equally well for a wee bit whilst being sufficiently flexible to prevent it breaking further.
