Rushing and gushing
We stood looking at the burn as it drops down and heads under the road towards Loch Cuin. Over the years John has talked about making a turbine in the burn behind his shed, I doubt he will get round to it now but I did think about the work involved years ago to guide the burn on its way, I don’t remember anyone working on this during our 24 years of living here. It was built to last.
Next to the burn there is evidence of a millrace, directing water over to the mill now stood redundant about 200 metres from here, apparently the wheel remains in place with the walls of the mill capped, the roof long gone.
Rory was having a mad few minutes multitasking, swinging the ball and playing with the toy mouse.
