St Martin's Church/ Dorking Repair Cafe
On the first Saturday of the month, the "Dorking Repair Café" is in action in the Christian Community Centre next to the church. This is a tremendous local service and I am almost become a season ticket holder. They usually have 5 or 6 women with sewing machines, a computer geek and 5 or 6 men who seem to be able to dismantle, mend and put together again almost any bit of electrical kit. They were really busy this morning and didn't have time to look at a fan heater of Penny's. However on the seamstress side of things, i have a mended Musto jacket (tore the arm on the shed door, v frustrating), a pair of stretchy trousers turned up, a silky jacket mended and the arms turned up on an old cardi. They don't make a charge but do request a donation, which i was very happy to give. They really are a force for good.

On the blip front I seem to be having trouble with my converging verticals. The cottages on either side really aren't tipping into the street.
