There were hundreds of them flying noisily over Windermere village. There’s an old saying, ‘a crow in a crowd is a rook and a rook on its own is a crow’ so I guess it was a parliament of rooks. Will they be debating how high in the trees they should nest?
Build high, rooks. We could do with a good summer.
