Impatient

When J finally finished her slow lunch, I took her along the road and up the first part of the lane up the hill, before it gets too steep for me to push her comfortably. She is looking for early signs of spring, which will feed into her February art challenge, so she may use the photos in a collage of some kind, or some of them may be a starting point for painting or collage. My favourite photo was the sunny dandelion on the roadside verge, looking far too summery for the first days of February; the snowdrops up the lane are beautiful, but they were in the shadow of the hill and the glowing flowers were difficult to expose correctly in low light. There was the beginnings of a good sunset too, albeit less spectacular than its predecessor.
