Across the fields……

…….. there are hills of gold. The early morning sunshine struggled through the cloud cover to spread magical patches of gold on the distant hills.
The day started out muggy and cloudy. It was still hot especially when sun filtered through the clouds.
I spent time in the garden disentangling Virginia Creeper growing out of control in and around a camellia. The creeper has gone mad with unusually abundant growth this year. It will be a big task to get it under control..
Sadly son James left Wellington early this morning to fly to Auckland and from there back to the UK. Thank you to his wife, Kirsty for lending him to us this past month. Safe travel James.
