Late blip..

Another glorious day in the Highlands, brilliant sunshine with patches of cloud, today we recorded over 20 units with the solar panels.

Been planting brassicas on the croft again, Brocolli (summer green and purple), Calabrese, Borecole, Kale (black, green, and purple), Kohl Rabi (green and purple), and Cauliflower. I had a drain, running down the hill into the centre of the brassica patch. I've managed to divert it (with a trowel!) to run down the side of the plot. Improvement is needed with a spade, but I was able to plant in what was a stream within 15 minutes.

Camera club tonight, and we looked at quite a lot of pictures from members. We're planning a calendar, to sell to raise funds for the club, and have nearly chosen some of the pics. Will have to put it to a vote though.. This shot taken at 10:30 on the way out..

Came home to find out that my mum has called on the phone to say my Uncle Geoff passed away this morning. He was 82, and quite a character. In his youth, he would do the rounds of the pubs in Well next the sea, with his trusty banjo, and singing for beer money. He was a postman in North Norfolk, and his act was based around the Singing Postman. So I'll sign off with his signature tune..
