Chicken Soup for the Soul
I’m not gonna lie but I am a damn good cook. However I am not so great at the general housekeeping end of things. But I’m ok with that.
This is my homemade chicken soup from scratch. Carrots, leeks, garlic, red pepper, tiny salad spuds, celery, 4 chicken fillets, fresh parsley and coriander (add these 10 mins from end of cooking), mushrooms, 2 chicken stock cubes, glass of old white wine that someone gave you for Christmas, to thicken tablespoon of cream cheese and yogurt combined. Salt & pepper TT.
The reason the photo is a bit blurry is ‘cos of the steam rising from the pot.
I have spent today taking care of myself. I was washed out after Covid booster on Friday last. Seaweed Bath, did my nails, smothered my hair in this expensive mango thing and now some chicken soup for my soul.
But now ladies and gentlemen …. the afternoon fillum
On RTE 1 (in the blue corner)
Drum roll
We have at 2.45pm “Heaven Knows, Mr. Allison” (1957) with the dastardly Robert Mitchum
Or on BBC 2 (in the red corner)
drum roll
We have also at 2.45pm “A Matter of Life and Death’ (1946) with the suave and urbane David Niven
What should I do! (I’m posting this at 2.15pm so it’s decision time)
:-)
Anyway just to mention it’s a beautiful day in Dublin/North Wicklow and there is no nicer place to be.
