MYSTERY PLANT
This pretty little flower appears on a wild bush that grows on the edge of our woods. It kind of borders our property in a natural way. The leaves and/or the entire flower are only 1.5" long - so tiny that I've never noticed they were anything more than little bunch of plain white flowers. We've lived here 40 years, and only in getting a close-up shot for blip did I catch the many tiny stamen on each little flower. It's more delicate & far prettier than I ever realized. I don't know the proper name, but we've always referred to them as the 'weed bushes' - guess I'll have to come up with a more complementary name now! (I also like the detail in the leaf.)
The mosquitos are so bad today, it was quite the challenge to be able to stand still long enough to take a picture without moving the camera. Lots of hopping, waving my arms & slapping my legs while stopping only a second for a quick shot. They must have just hatched today because I wasn't bothered at all yesterday. At any one moment there were at least 4 - 5 attacking me. Whew!!
